Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April, 10am-5pm
Samye Dzong Buddhist Centre, Spa Road, Bermondsey
Most of our stress and upset in life comes from problems with relating - relationships with family, partners, children and with the World in general. And while much spiritual practice works with inner harmony, this workshop is concentrating on the way we relate outwards.
How do other people make us feel?
Are we aware of the way we behave and think around other people? Can we be more skilfulll in our dealings with the outside world.
Current neurological and developmental research shows that we are genetically and neurologically social animals - we flourish and suffer in the context of other people. This weekend course is aimed at bringing some of the newest thinking together with two very ancient traditions - mindfulness meditation and yoga.
Kathy Osbourne and Alistair Appleton are both grounded in eastern and western traditions and have run several popular couses at the Special Yoga Centre. They're joining forces to explore the ways in which we can bring freshness and ease into our relationships with others. Using meditative and yogic exercises, they are offering some simple but powerful tools for bringing more clarity, ease and relaxation into the way we relate with each other.
The yoga and meditation will be suitable for beginners and not require extreme levels of flexibility!
