Greetings of peace, lovely MIndspringers. If you have a moment, would you kindly share a prayer or a kind thought for my friend Imam Muhsin Kendricks who died on Saturday? It's not easy going first in a world that is damaged and often lacking in love. Imam Muhsin was more than just a religious leader; he was a pioneer, a visionary, and a beacon of hope. As the first openly gay Imam, he fearlessly championed an all-inclusive, compassion-centered Islam, dedicating his life to creating safe spaces for queer Muslims, and others, advocating for justice, and redefining faith as a source of healing rather than harm. We cannot let anger and hatred win. Muhsin was murdered for his beliefs and caring actions yesterday. Those of us who follow his lead as Imams and Imamas are grieving. I know not many of you are Muslims, but if you believe that love must triumph over anger, distrust and hatred, please remember my friend, and thank you. Much love to you all. xxx
