- My calm space for FallIn Sharing Space4 October 2023It's called Dunkley Pass, just up the road from where I am. Locals call it 'God's own Country', it's at 9000ft elevation and totally inaccessible in winter. It's breathtaking, picture doesn't do it justice.1

- Caleidoscopic meIn Sharing Space3 October 2023What a wonderful description of the archetypical human dilemma - to sense the boundlessness of awareness but to also have to feel the pain of bodily constriction. I wonder if that's why the Buddha's are always shown with a symbol of wisdom (a bell, a knife, a book) and a symbol of compassion (a flower, a skullcap of nectar, a vajra)? Because we have to have both. Be able to cut through the attachment but also love that which we are stepping back from. You describe perfectly what I sometimes experience - I can see it all: the clinging, the not-liking, the irritation, the thoughts - and somehow it's all very loveable and unique. That sense of bodily constriction you describe is samsara - the constant niggle of narrowing options. Which is possibly also why the Buddha's are always depicted as young. Around the age of 16. Their bodily form represents their freedom for age, sickness, death. Not because they don't engage with those things but because they ONLY engage with the love those things evoke. Sometimes I wonder what happens at the moment of death when the awareness stretches its limbs and steps out of the shell of the body? Is it terrifying? Or is it ecstatic? Perhaps your illness Mechtheld has allowed you to cling less to the body? You've already started being less graspy? I can't imagine what a cancer journey does to the sense of embodiment...10

- Sharing our summer fruitsIn Sharing Space31 August 2023I had a difficult 6 weeks during the summer as my elderly little dog Minnie was poorly, so lots of vets trips and worry. I'm happy to say she's recovered and is back to normal. Every day with her is truly a blessing🙏10
