- Hello 👋 It’s good to be hereDans Meet the Gang!·20 May 2023(I tried this once already but it didn't seem to publish, so sorry if this comes up twice!) Hi all 😊 I'm Nikky, from Wiltshire in the UK. I took part in one of Alistair's courses several years ago and it really helped with some specific fears I had at the time. Since then I've had a daughter (now four) who is wonderful but not fond of sleeping through the night! I've also been having some health issues that come with lots of anxious waits for results. As someone who suffers with health anxiety anyway, I need a bit of a hand again to calm the chatter and panic. Very much looking forward to joining you all for some sessions.2258
- Mediocre poemDans Sharing Space·23 July 2022I wrote this in 2016 when my mother died. I have come to realize that all my endeavors are neither grand nor failures, just in the middle. Here is where my worst anxiety and depression began. I look back and see I have progressed, emotionally. Alas, my poetic prowess is still C- at best. I am adrift My anchor gone; I am unable to captain alone… I steer the best course I know But still… I strike other ships passing, doing damage Having to stop Having to repair, regroup How can I avoid running aground? Striking the rocks Sinking this ship… completely...2237
- A lovely quote from Tsoknyi Rinpoche.Dans Sharing Space·15 August 2022Sometime go outside and sit, In the evening at sunset, When there’s a slight breeze that touches your body, And makes the leaves and the trees move gently. You’re not trying to do anything, really. You’re simply allowing yourself to be, Very open from deep within, Without holding onto anything whatsoever. Don’t bring something back from the past, from a memory. Don’t plan that something should happen. Don’t hold onto anything in the present. Nothing you perceive needs to be nailed down. Simply let experience take place, very freely, So that your empty, open heart Is suffused with the tenderness of true compassion.2265

- Hi there from New ZealandDans Meet the Gang!21 June 2022@Katrina Deed Redwoods in New Zealand? I had no idea. I lived in Northern California for many years and one of my secret spots was walking through the Redwoods. The beauty is amazing and the energy is spiritual. We have Coast and Sequoia redwoods. This is the benefit of connecting with people that live in various places in the world. Thank you again for sharing this information.22

- Is forgiveness dead in the water?Dans Questions & Answers·13 November 2024Hi, I've just watched the video of last Thursday's session on the Four Immeasurables. And as I'm taking in a lot more than when I was actually there, it's given me time to ponder: If loving kindness or wishing well arises from an unconditional, egoless place of emptiness, does this mean that the act of forgiveness is essentially ego-driven? Because do we not grace people our forgiveness? Can anyone expound on this for me? I'm twisting my brain-knickers into trying to understand. Hopeful thanks! T x1464
