Hi 👋 (April 2023)

I was first introduced to Tibetan Buddhism in 1999, but this didn't arouse a deep enough interest to pursue until 2010 where at a week long silent retreat I had a profound vision whilst meditating of a huge laughing Buddha in the sky emanating 🌈 rays of blinding light! THIS triggered enough of a curiosity and then a ferocious interest in the topic and practices of Buddhism.

Six years later at a ceremony (profile photo) given by HH Sakya Ratna Vajra Trizen I became a Buddhist and given the name Ngawang Lhadze.

2018 in Bodhgaya, India, I went to HH The Dalai Lama teaching event, followed by a 3 month Buddhist Pilgrimage around India, Nepal and Himalayas. Then went onto teaching English at Tashi Lhunpo monastery in Bylakuppe Tibetan refugee camp.

Since lockdown happened Ive been living on a tiny island in Orkney, Scotland, mainly enjoying the silence and wildlife, alongside the awesomeness of what Buddhism has taught me, that I highly recommend.

Thanks for reading 💞
