Hi Gill, I think you have the wrong. Holy Isle here. Vera's home is the holy Island, Lindisfarne, off the east coast of Scotland. Alistair's Holy Isle is much smaller and is off the West coast Alistair has narrated a lovely documentary, called A Stroll round holy Isle, available on YouTube. Well worth a look and who better to narrate it than our Alistair..♥️🙏

Argh! Have just realised that I won't be able to make the 2nd after all. What a shame, as it would be such a joy to meet up with the Mindsprings tribe again. I'll be thinking of you, and looking out for any post-meetup posts. Re the questionnaire, I've since thought of a possible luxury feature for the website - the ability to bookmark our favourite videos/podcasts for easy access. Harri x

Hi @gill Thanks for the heads up but @patti is correct. Lindisfarne is the more famous English holy isle. And then there are at least two I know of in Scotland. Iona, a famous Christian site like Lindisfarne and Holy Isle off the coast of Arran which is owned by the Buddhists of Samye Ling.

Hi Jane, Welcome to the group. I gasped when I read your story and then breathed a sigh of relief that you are here with us now. I live in California, and I too first was introduced to Alastair on escape. The show became truly addictive for me in a very good way, and brings me much enjoyment. You are 100% correct about Alastair. His calm manner is infectious and soothing. Plus, his personality is so wonderful. I’m so glad you are with us in the group. There are so many wonderful things to explore from meditations to retreats. If I didn’t live in California, I would go on as many retreats as possible with the group. Anyway, I wish you were truly wonderful day today!
